A German who was involved in plantation management in the Bismark Archipelago, possibly Emirau Island. Married Minnie Flockton, formerly Minnie Foster. At least, he managed a plantation formerly owned by August Engelhardt (died 6 May 1919). By the end of the 1930s they had retired to Sydney and the indications were that they were more than comfortably situated financially. At this time they purchased a substantial 2 story residence in Point Bush Road, Collections known from Ralum, S of Rabaul (N of Kokopo), East New Britain (held at NSW).
