Description: Vigorous scandent climber.

Juvenile leaves not known. Intermediate leaves irregularly lobed and dentate, soon becoming entire. Adult leaves alternate, narrowly obovate, slightly falcate, 35–60 mm long, 5–10 mm wide, glabrescent; petiole up to 2 mm long.

Inflorescences consisting of mainly solitary flowers; pedicel 10–20 mm long, slender, noding, hairy. Sepals 3–6 mm long, variable, unequal, more or less ovate; margin ciliate. Petals 13–18 mm long, clawed, throat nearly as long as slender blade; blade yellow; throat and margin tinged pink-red, darkening with age. Stamens with anthers sagittate and distinctly mucronate. Ovary glabrous; style short, stout; stigma knobby.

Fruit indehiscent, up to 20 mm long, obloid, berry-like; mature seeds unknown.
