Pultenaea estelleae R.L.Barrett & Clugston APNI*

Synonyms: Pultenaea sp. Blakney Creek (E.M.Canning 6809) APNI*

Description: Erect to spreading shrub, c. 0.3 m high, young stems with long, straight to curved, spreading to erect hairs c. 0.6 mm long.

Alternate, ±lanceolate, 3.6–5.8 mm long, 0.6–1.1 mm wide, mucronate, margins strongly incurved, mostly hiding the upper surface.

Inflorescence leafy, with tightly clustered flowers. Calyx 4.8–6.7 mm long, tube and lobes with erect hairs. Flowers orange-golden with red marks at the base of the standard, keel deep red at apex. Standard petal 7.0–8.1 mm wide. Ovary with a tuft of long, appressed hairs at the very apex.

Distribution and occurrence: Only known from a single location near Blakney Creek, north of Yass in the Southern Tablelands.

Recorded from remnant Eucalyptus woodland with a shrubby understorey.
