Description: Erect or spreading shrub 0.4–1 m high; stems with short, crisped, appressed, matted hairs to 0.3 mm long.
Leaves alternate, linear, strongly incurved and apearing terete with a groove along the upper surface, 5.7–10.5 mm long, 0.3–0.6 mm wide, apex oblique to acute, mucronate; stipules 2.7–3.6 mm long.
Inflorescences subterminal, dense to somewhat lax, leafy, the leaves with slightly enlarged stipules; bracts absent. Flowers 11–13 mm long; pedicels 1.5–2.5 mm long; bracteoles 3.2–5.1 mm long, stipulate, free, more than twice length of stipules, linear, aristate, pubescent, attached to lower part of calyx tube; bracteolar stipules lanceolate, acuminate. Calyx 4.5–7.7 mm long, moderately hairy; lobes acuminate. Ovary hairy in apical half.
Pod 5–6 mm long, turgid, sparsely hairy in apical half.
Flowering: Mainly September–December.
Distribution and occurrence: Between Dubbo, the Warrumbungle Range and the Pilliga. Grows in dry sclerophyll forest to woodland on sandy soil.
